Run, yoga and doing nothing.

Hello, people! I'm back early from Tekong. We had a half day off because today was BMTC's anniversary.

In the morning we joined the perm staffs on the island for a 4.8km anniversary run. We were required to run from the parade square all the way to a reservoir and make a U-turn. When I was a recruit, I never knew Tekong had a reservoir. This morning was the first time that I heard about it. Hence, I didn't really know how deep it was into the jungle, so I just kept running. It was quite an eye-opener when I finally reached the reservoir, because under the morning sun, the view there was rather awesome. The run was generally alright except that we were mostly running on paths of gravels and pebbles.

After everyone had returned from the run, instead of doing the standard cool down, we had a session of yoga with a few external instructors. Man, yoga is really not the thing for me. I realised that my body is pretty stiff and I had trouble doing a few of the positions. It was not really enjoyable.

The rest of the day was rather standard. Most of our activities included talking cock, the mess and our beds. We were actually just waiting to book out. And we finally did. At 4pm. After 4 hours of doing nothing really significant.

Oh, did I mention that we are only booking in on Sunday night? I know it's a day after new year day. But I guess that's the best they could offer.

I've got quite a number of things to complete over these few days. And I think I should really pick up my bowling balls and start doing some training.
