Dong, dong, dong, qiang!

Happy Chinese new year!

Haha, this is my first update in almost a couple of months.

The much-anticipated CNY is finally here! It's a time for legal gambling tables, money in little red envelopes, pairs of mandarin oranges, non-stop barrages of CNY songs on the radio and literally everything in red. The thing I hate the most during CNY is when people try to alter the traditional, typical greeting lines in order to suit the zodiac of the year. It's really annoying. It just makes you sound like you are trying too hard.

I must say, I can't really feel the festive mood this year. Maybe being in camp for 5 days per week really numbed your senses for such festivals. At the start, I wasn't in the festive spirit at all (until the gambling started). I don't even feel the urgency to get all my new year clothes before CNY, most of my shirts this year are bought by my parents or bought when I was in Taiwan. My jeans was casually picked from Uniqlo and not even altered. I was basically dragging the shopping thing till the last minute. However, I still managed to pull off a last-minute shopping act and purchased a pair of reasonably pretty shoes. Haha.

Actually time pass pretty fast. Last year at this time, I was still a normal civilian dreading and waiting for my enlistment. And now, I've already completed my BMT and specialist course and is currently serving as a logistic specialist in BMTC (I'll get to that next time. Now just let me focus on CNY). I seriously hope this year, too, will pass fast enough. And before I know it, 2012 will come and then it's ORD LO!

Haha, happy new year again! Gong xi, gong xi! :D
