Sergeant-in-training.

I just dwindled away three minutes of my life watching a video which involved a mollusk creature leisurely landing on his preferred box, delicately pulled the lid up with relative ease and then skillfully slid in one of its creepy appendages, reaching for the morsel of food within the transparent box. He did it like a pro. And I felt like I'm a retard for watching the video.

Yes, I've just watched Paul, the Oracle octopus predict the results for the final two matches of the World Cup. His prediction doesn't really bother me. I just want to know whether the eventual winners that he predicted will be akin to the ones that Mani, the parakeet picked out.

Well, not quite. Paul foresees that Spain will be the one hoisting the trophy at the end of the match, while our local product, Mani tips the Netherlands for the title.

But there's just one slight problem here: Mani predicted before the semis that the World Cup final will stage a battle between Spain and Uruguay and now he switched sides. It just goes to show that there are more than one specie in the world that are fickle-minded.

Enough with the World Cup bullshit, I shall carry on with my life.

I guess many of you might not know this, but today is the day that our postings will be out. This is the big day that we all were (or were not) looking forward to after 2 months of BMT. And as you can see from the title, I am posted to the Specialist Cadet School (SCS), which will train us to become specialists (aka sergeants). I'm quite please with the posting, really nothing much to complain about. I just hope that I will be able to cope with the training.

Alrighty, I am really tired now because I only slept four hours last night, partly worried about the results and mainly due to all the mosquitoes in my room, so I'm going to sleep now. Bye!
