YES, the girls of the Singapore national table-tennis team had made it through to the finals! Something worth celebrating at long last. After all, we've got at least a silver medal firmly held in our hands. It's a very, very long time since Singapore managed to get an Olympic medal. Li Jiawei got close to a bronze medal during the games in Athens four years ago, but eventually lost 3-2 to her counterpart. Nonetheless, that was a good result. The girls are up against the host, China next. Although, it's quite a difficult match, I hope they do win.
