Alright, for today I shall agree that DotA do sucks sometimes.
I finally understand why JAMES dislike playing In-House games that much. Okay, In-House games basically means games where a group of friends are split into two teams to versus each other. I agree to a large extent that In-House games, like what JAMES always says, will end up in terrible endings. It would either be the Sentinal being unhappy with the Scourge because they won, or vice versa. This can be seen obviously by cross-referencing to any recent In-House games that I've recently played or watched. More obvious ones were the James' BB-versus-4-euls+2-guinsoo game and the Bty-versus-EvA-4v4 game. All these games didn't end with a harmonious atmosphere but instead a few short exchanges of vulgarities can be heard.
There were a few possibilities that trigger such incidents to happen. First of all, we are all improving and we do not like losing to our own friends, especially if you are against the stronger few. And such things happen, people tend to play more seriously. They'll play warding, ganging and even tactical planning. They play like it's their last game on this planet. There isn't any wrong in playing so seriously, although it is a game played "for fun". But sometimes your friends do not like it, they don't see why you are playing so seriously when In-House games are just for fun. This usually end up in nasty quarrels or disagreements. I've already seen some friends severe ties because of DotA, which is kinda lame. =_="
Aren't people forgetting that DotA is just a game? Does winning your friend really means so much? Why let a game spoil your friendship?
Game>Friend?
That's not a good trade to me. :D
